- Mladić željan osvete traga za razbojnicima koji su mu kad je bio dečak ubili oca. Izuzetno zanimljiva vestern/drama koscenariste i reditelja Fernanda Spinera uspela je adaptacija priče "Aballay" argentinskog pisca i novinara Antonija Di Benedeta. Abalaj je bio gaučos preke naravi, lopov i ubica. Ali, ponekad ono što vidi kad se pogleda u ogledalo, natera čoveka da presabere čitav svoj život. U Abalajovom slučaju to "ogledalo" bio je pogled jednog deteta, zaprepašćeni pogled sina čoveka, koga je brutalno ubio. Tada je u trenutku postao svestan svog divljaštva i nepostojanja trunke humanosti u njemu. Taj pogled ga više nikada ne napušta, i zna da će ga to dete tražiti, i jednog dana kao odrasli čovek naći. Abalaj (P. Cedrón) je predvodio grupu razbojnika koji su napali kočiju i malom Hulijanu (T. Mitre) ubili oca, a on je to gledao sakriven ispod sedišta. Kad ga je Abalaj pronašao, dečak je verovao da i njega čeka ista sudbina. Nakon što se sa razbojnikom dugo gledao u oči, ovaj mu je na kraju ipak odlučio poštedeti život, a Abalajev pogled Hulijana će pratiti i kada odraste. Deceniju kasnije, sad mladić Hulijan (N. Casero) svuda sa sobom nosi crteže razbojnika koji su ih napali. Žeđ za osvetom, a prilika će se ukazati kad u pustinjskom gradiću La Malariji upozna privlačnu Huanu (M. Anghileri)... Film je svojevrsna argentinska varijanta špageti-vesterna koja podjednako dobro funkcioniše i kao posveta argentinskim kaubojima zvanim gaučos, i kao omaž brutalnim realističnim ostvarenjima autoru dragih reditelja poput Sema Pekinpoa i Voltera Hila.
