- A compilation of two episodes of "The Virginian" TV western series. Season 1 episode 9 It Tolls For Thee (1962) guest star Lee Marvin, and season 6 episode 1 Reckoning (1967) guest star Charles Bronson. The Virginian: Season 1, Episode 9 It Tolls for Thee (1962). The Judge, believing violence in the West is disappearing, creates a rift with the Virginian when he stops a violent fight involving the Virginian. When the Judge is kidnapped, the Virginian goes to his rescue from violent captors anyway. Martin Kalig shoots Sharkey thinking he has killed him in order to take over Sharkey's gang. Kalig has detailed plans for kidnapping Judge Garth for ransom and revenge for submitting him to a tongue lashing at his sentencing in the early days of the west. At the same time Molly is presenting Judge Garth with an engraved watch and a request for an interview from the renown publisher Joseph Pulitizer who idolizes Garth for his control of the west via a strong and often violent hand. Garth, however, feels violence is no longer a major factor in the west. He makes his point when he punches The Virginian to stop him from beating a drunk ex-ranch hand who threatens to kill someone at the Judge's party for Molly. This creates a divide between Judge Garth and The Virginian which lasts until Judge Garth is kidnapped and The Virginian takes control to rescue the Judge. When the kidnappers refuse to release the Judge after the ransom is paid, The Virginian has the Sheriff hold back the posse... The Virginian: Season 6, Episode 1 The Reckoning (1967). The Virginian, John and Elizabeth goes to Texas where The Virginian is seen by members of a gang whose leader thinks The Virginian is responsible for the death of his brother seven years earlier. Elizabeth is kidnapped to trap him. The Virginian and John Grainger accompanied by his vacationing granddaughter Elizabeth go to Texas near Mexico to inspect cattle. While looking for a doctor outlaws spot The Virginian who their leader Harge Talbot holds responsible for the death of the his younger brother Jamie seven years ago in a San Antonio bank robbery. Harge wanted the doctor to help his pregnant wife deliver their first baby but there is no doctor. He sends some of the men back to kidnap The Virginian but instead they kidnap Elizabeth to force The Virginian to go to Harge's ranch in Mexico. With Elizabeth kidnapped The Virginian agrees to return to the ranch in Mexico although he doesn't know why Harge wants him but he does trust Harge. Once at the ranch he learns Harge blames him for informing on the gang about their failed bank robbery attempt where the law was waiting for them resulting in Jamie's death. - In 1843 a former U.S. senator leads a wagon train of settlers to Oregon, but his megalomania leads to growing dissatisfaction with his leadership. In the mid-19th century, Senator William J. Prilikom snimanja su iskorišteni setovi, kostimi i rekviziti napravljeni za potrebe zapadnonemačkih vestern filmova po romanima Karla Maja koji su se u to vreme snimali u tadašnjoj Jugoslaviji.
